"SECRET flight plans of American military planes have revealed for the first time how European countries helped send prisoners, including British citizens, to the Guantanamo Bay prison camp.

Despite widespread criticism of alleged human rights abuses and torture at the US base, a Sunday Times investigation reveals how at least five European countries gave the United States permission to fly nearly 700 terrorist suspects across their territory.

The new flight logs show how most prisoners changed planes at a Turkish air base, flew across Greek, Italian and Portuguese air space, and some even came to Cuba after touching down in Spain, a country whose governing socialist party once expressed “indignation” at conditions in Guantanamo...

A new television documentary describes evidence of a new round of renditions in the Horn of Africa that have seen pregnant women with their children transported to jails in Ethiopia for interrogation. Four children have been born in captivity.
